    <p>The Summary of Information (SOI) is a periodic report that Parties implementing REDD Plus are required to provide to the UNFCCC. The SOI provides information on how the Cancun Safeguards have been addressed and respected during the implementation of REDD Plus activities.</p>
    <h3>SOI Requirements</h3>
    <p>Under UNFCCC decisions, the SOI should:</p>
    <ul>
      <li>Be provided periodically, consistent with the frequency of national communications</li>
      <li>Include information on how each of the seven safeguards has been addressed and respected</li>
      <li>Be transparent and accessible</li>
      <li>Be consistent with the information provided in the national SIS</li>
    </ul>
    <h3>Malaysia's SOI</h3>
    <p>Malaysia is in the process of preparing its Summary of Information for submission to the UNFCCC. The SOI will be informed by the data and information collected through MY-SIS, including the monitoring of indicators under the PC&I framework.</p>
